Stupka’s love for the way food brings family and friends together dates back to cooking alongside his mother and grandmother as a young boy. He planted his roots working at his family’s BBQ restaurant, where he kicked (pork) butts and took names in BBQ competitions.
After earnings his culinary degree, Ryan served as line cook, and then co-executive chef at Tavern’s West County location before becoming Executive chef here in the CWE. Stop by the Tavern in Central West End to see Ryan and his team put a new twist on traditional favorites!

Since her first hostess gig, more than 15 years ago, Megan’s been focused on providing guests with an exceptional dining experience. As Wine & Beverage Director, she puts that focus into action, preparing the wait staff and bartenders for whatever the night may bring. Private dining events at Tavern are especially important to Megan. While she’s proud of Tavern’s exceptional service and food, she believes it’s the staff that makes every experience unique. “They’re humble and fun to work with,” Megan says. “It’s a combination that makes for a truly unforgettable experience—in fact our reputation is built on it.” Her advice for others in the industry? Don’t get complacent— always look for ways to take an experience to the next level.
